Our Team

Pastor Q was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1987, and raised in a Christian household with parents involved in ministry. At the age of 5, he received salvation at South Side Church of God in Christ, Jacksonville, Florida, under Bishop Edward Robinson Sr. In 2001, his family relocated to Tallahassee, where he served his parents’ ministry as a drummer and backup keyboard player.

In April 2007, Pastor Q rededicated his life to Christ at Faith Christian Center under Pastor Andre Cooper Sr., receiving the Holy Spirit. In 2010, he married Sha Ford and answered the call to ministry. Pastor Q enrolled in Layman’s Bible School, graduating in 2012, and furthered his education at the Leadership Training Center in Jacksonville, graduating magna cum laude in 2016. He became a licensed and ordained minister in February 2016. Pastor Q’s ministry grew through his leadership of a “Mega Group,” where many young people were saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and experienced prophecy and healing.

In May 2021, God stirred the heart of Pastor Q to make a difference in the vibrant city of Tallahassee by planting a life-giving church. This vision quickly began to take shape, fueled by their long-standing passion for helping individuals experience the transformative power of God.Today, Pastor Q serves as the senior pastor of Encounter Church Church of God in Christ. He is a passionate leader, author, and Bible teacher, known for his encouraging message, “Keep Moving Forward,”.

Together, Quinton and Sha are proud parents to three beautiful daughters: Jaliyah, Jailyn, and Jayda. Their family embodies the values of love, faith, and community, making a positive impact wherever they go.
